WHERE THE FRICTION WORKS WHEN WE ARE MOVING FOREWARD??

@mathslover

mathslover (mathslover):

A ------>in this direction then the friction will be <------ in opposite direction where A is any object

OpenStudy (anonymous):

We can't walk without the friction between our shoesor slipper and the ground.as we step forward we push our leg backward .then friction came to existence between ground and shoes which helps to hold the foot(shoe,slipper) to the ground .to allow us to walk

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

friction is always OPPOSITE the direction of the motion. So, if you are moving forward, then the motion is forward. Therefore the friction is in the opposite direction, so backward, and vice versa.

mathslover (mathslover):

May i add one more thing with respect to surroundings ?

OpenStudy (shamim):

friction arise due to roughness of two bodies which is in contact. if we try to move a book which is on a table, frictional force arise which will oppose the movement of that book.if we try to move that book towards north, frictional force will act towards south. both forces act on the book

well there are 2 answers 1 while ur sliding or skiding u will experience backward friction but while walking ur front leg will experience backward friction while back leg a forward friction
