Hey @DLS - can you give me an approximate time when you saw that last? If it was about an hour ago (which would be right before you posted this thread) then you may have gotten bitten by one of our servers behaving badly. If you're seeing it regularly (as in multiple times an hour every day) then that could be a symptom of something else.

Sorry for any instability you're witnessing on the site. We just switched to a new infrastructure that's a lot more durable, but there are some issues in transitioning our code to this new structure, and one of them is that occasionally things like this happen. We're working on tracking down the last of these bugs this week.

I saw it one hour before i posted it..and yes ive been seeing this atleast once or twice everyday..sometimes it even fails to load..all I see is the logo and my name and stuff..nothing else..

Right, so about once or twice a day is about how often we've been having one of our web processes fail. And the page only partially loading is another possible symptom of that. (I just wanted to make sure you were't seeing it more often. heh.)

So, normally if that happens - you may get lucky by clearing your cookies and trying to load the page again. Our load balancer uses cookies to remember which server you're connected to, so if you delete your openstudy cookies and then reload you have a 50/50 chance of being redirected to the working server.

We have monitoring software in place to let us know when this happens, so if we see it happen while we're awake we'll deal with it immediately. However, from about 3AM-8AM our time most of the engineering team is asleep so it takes longer to deal with this during those hours.

I'll reiterate that we're working on ironing out the last set of bugs causing this issue. Hopefully, we'll get her all sorted out by the end of the week.
