Can someone please help me to understand what the question on the bottom is asking for. Time (hours) 16 cm candle 12 cm candle Height (cm) Height (cm) 0 16 12 1 13.5 10.5 2 11 9 3 8.5 7.50 4 6 6 5 3.5 4.5 6 1 3 7 -1.5 1.5 Using the table, write an equation for the height of each candle in terms of the number of hours it has burned. Be sure to include any constraints for the equation.

FIrst, find out how many cm is burned off of the candle for each hour burned. There is a pattern you should be able to see for both candles. Then take that and create an equation with it. Let x be the number of hours and y be the height. Understand?

graph/plot both candles burnt (candle 1, candle 2; x ) vs the time (y) depending on how the graph/plot looks like for each candle, you can come up with the equations (candle 1, candle 2; x) using linear regression or quadratic regression.
