What do you mean graphing? These are numbers, not functions to draw them.. So they would be points to the x - axis..

OpenStudy (phi):

I would draw a number line, and label numbers from -4 up to 6 with has marks at each integer. then put dots at -3, -sqrt(8), -1.7,+5

OpenStudy (chrisasl):

Yes that is correct @practicemathta93

OpenStudy (chrisasl):

Yes that is very good @practicemathta93 and also sqrt(8) you can find it with any calculator or even google if you search for sqrt(8).

OpenStudy (phi):

type sqrt(8)= in the google search window use the negative value of that and label all your dots.

OpenStudy (phi):

sqrt(8)= 2.828... -2.828 is between -2 and -3 (and closer to -3)
