How do I rotate 90 degreesclockwise around a point? I know the rules.. for 90degrees clockwise you just switch the coordinates and change the x coordinate by multiplying it by -1 (only if its around the origin) Will the rules change if its around the point? Please explain the process

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please help ..

hero (hero):

I'm not sure I fully understand your question, but yes the rules change once the point of rotation is something other than (0,0)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How does it change can you give an example

hero (hero):

Well, geometrically, a 90 degree rotation about a point is still the same. However, the method used to find the rotated point will be slightly different.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If the rules change.. what is the rule?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah...Can you please explain the method

OpenStudy (perl):

there is a rotation matrix
