Hi, I answered a question like this earlier. PEMDAS stands for Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally. Parenthesis - Exponents - Multiplication - Divide - Add - Subtract. Do each step at a time. Is there anything in the equation that's in parenthesis? No? Next step. Do you see any exponents in the equation? Now, multiply 3 x 2. Divide 12 by the product. Add the result to 58. The sum of that is your answer.

I did and my answer was 60 I just want to make sure that is the correct answer, thank you.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I multiplied 3*2=6 first then I divided 12/6 and I got 2 then I added 58+2=60

OpenStudy (lime):

Yep. Order of Operations. Good job. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So my answer is correct right?

OpenStudy (lime):

Yes.
