Square Roots and Real Numbers are these a natural number, a whole number, an integer, rational, or irrational? how do I find out?

OpenStudy (lime):

An irrational number is any real number that cannot exist as a ratio and/or fraction. The square root of 2 is an irrational number because it is not a perfect square. -64 is a rational square root (number) because of -8.

However, if the negative sign was inside of the square root, the answer would be a complex number. Ex: 8i

OpenStudy (lime):

A real number is a value that represents a quantity continuously. Ex: -5, 8, 4/3, 3.14159265, and even irrational numbers. Natural numbers include all the basic counting numbers, except negatives.
