Which of the following is not true of science? Science offers proof of a claim. Science is a way of knowing. Science is a process. Science provides support or fails to provide support to a claim.
i think C?
science is not a way of knowing science offers an explanation for why things work the way they do which are then proven or disproven by the scientific community
@saifoo.khan think about the scientific method
is it D?????????
@completeidiot , i have no clue. You must be correct.
@completeidiot
the claim would be your hypothesis your conclusion would either prove or disprove your hypothesis or thesis D looks correct although this question is worded weirdly
correct as in not the answer
itz not C cuz it is a process
which leaves A and B
science offers an explanation for why things work the way they do. but there are no real answers when it comes to science which is why everything is called a theory
a scientific theory is something that best describes how something works in no way does it mean it is false. if evidence comes along and disproves the theory, then either the evidence was wrong or the theory needs to be revised
i would go with B again this question is worded oddly so im really not sure
I put B?????????
@completeidiot
i told you im not completely sure
Personally, I would go with A. Science does not always offer proof of a claim...it can also disprove a claim (see D which is more correct). Looking at the other answers: Science is a way of knowing - this is true...more or less. Science is a process - sort of....the scientific method is obviously a process although I don't think the literal term science could be defined as a process. Science provides support or fails to provide support to a claim - most definitely true.
