Personally, I would go with A. Science does not always offer proof of a claim...it can also disprove a claim (see D which is more correct).

Looking at the other answers:
Science is a way of knowing - this is true...more or less.
Science is a process - sort of....the scientific method is obviously a process although I don't think the literal term science could be defined as a process.
Science provides support or fails to provide support to a claim - most definitely true.
