How to make an argumentative essay about diabetes

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

how about advantages and disadvantages of eating sweets that lead to diabetes? will that work?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no bec. type 1 diabetes doesn't have to do with sweets

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its fromyour carb intakes

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

well then how about an argument on the connotation of diabetes to sweets? Like what you're doing right now is arguing that type 1 diabetes isn't about sweets

OpenStudy (anonymous):

some people are just born with i

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but thats so little information. i have to write a 10 page paper at least

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

wow 10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

really 10 pages on this. what is this college. ha anyways. Yeah you can do many arguments including the one he said. You can argue that it is one's own fault for type II because of not watching what you consume, etc.. And then you can talk about type i that it is not much of a choice. and you will have to think of atleast 5 things to write about that will take up 10 pages

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what? 10 pages? GOODLUCK! why don't you describe a diabetes first then the differences and similarities of the two types of diabetes..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There is lots of research on diabeaties being caused by obesity, yet more people are getting type 1 diabetes which is NOT caused by obesity. You could argue that there are other things (chemicals, etc) outside a diet that could cause diabetes. You could also argue that pre-diabetes is often over-diagnosed for the sheer value of a diabetic patient, they need to spend lots of money on test stripts, and meters as well as nutritionals...and most of those patients who aren't already at risk genitically never end up developing diabetes.
