Need some answers double checked pretty please! 1. 2x^2-5x+2=0 2.g=(x^2+x) f=(3x-2) (gf)(x)=? 3.ln 1/e^3 =? 4.ln 5root e=? Answers that I got... 1. -1/2, -2 2.9x^2-9x+2 3. -3 4. 1/5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

last two are right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Still checking the first two or are they wrong?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first one is wrong i think

OpenStudy (anonymous):

factors as \((x-2)(2x-1)=0\) so both roots are positive

OpenStudy (anonymous):

second one also seems to be wrong. i am not sure where you got the 9 from

OpenStudy (anonymous):

9x or 9x^2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\((x^2+x)(3x-2)\) is what you need to multiply

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

although if it's (g o f)(x) then @StefaniTriscuit 's answer makes sense

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\((x^2+x)(3x-2)=3x^3-2x^2+3x^2-2x\) via the distributive property then combine like terms

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ooooooooh sorry, is it \(g\circ f(x)\) ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is (g o f)(x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ooops nvm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My fault, wrote it out wrong.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

#2 is right for (g o f)(x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And I figured out where I went wrong with number 1, got the right answer. Thank you very much guys!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you are right, only mistake was first one, both should be positive not negative
