OpenStudy (baldymcgee6):

What is the equation of the line perpendicular to y= 5x+2 and containing the point (1,4) ? I know how to do that, but what is the improper use of jargon in the above question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the perpendicular line passes through point (1,4)

OpenStudy (baldymcgee6):

thanks @thushananth01

OpenStudy (baldymcgee6):

@completeidiot thats not what i'm asking

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then what do you not understand about finding the perpindicular line of y=5x+2 that passes through point (1,4)

OpenStudy (baldymcgee6):

Please read my whole question. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a line that intersects through y-5x+2 at a 90 degree angle and also goes through point (1,4)?

OpenStudy (baldymcgee6):

haha i'm not trying to do that question.. just wondering what the improper use of jargon was in the problem. but thanks
