That equation = 4b + 8 + 1 + b^2 + 2b^3. Plug in b(-2) for all the B's you see :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And then you get 5 right ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4(-2)+8=0 1+(-2)^2=5 2(-2)^3=-16

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think your answer is -11. Not sure though. :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Remember PEMDAS Exponents comes before multiplication.

OpenStudy (ghazi):

\[\left| -4(-2)-8 \right|+\left| -1-(-2)^2 \right|+2(-2)^3\] you'll have -3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh! Hes right^

OpenStudy (ghazi):

\[5-8\]
