Simplify the expression: 2x – 2y + 5z – 2x – y + 3z

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2x - 2y +5z - 2x - y + 3z 2x - 2x - 2y - y +5z + 3z (Organize so the same terms are together. x with x and so on) -3y + 8z (The x's cancel out. Put the terms together) Answer : -3y + 8z That's the simplest you can go because the terms (y and z) are different.
