Its a bit wordy and awkward and out of context but in the right article it COULD make sense. Out of context it sounds a bit loony. Could you give us a bit more information.

I have to give a speech of my Public Speaking Class. And it's about our pet peeves. And mine is people picking their noses.

I would do something like this, bad habits of people picking their nose in public. than say something to the effect, Can't count how many times riding on public transportation or walking down the street you come across a nose picker.
