Use Gaussian elimination to find the complete solution to the system of equations, or state that none exists. 4x - y + 3z = 12 x + 4y + 6z = -32 5x + 3y + 9z = 20 A. {(8, -7, -2)} B. {(-8, -7, 9)} C. ∅ D. {(2, -7, -1)}

OpenStudy (tiffanymak1996):

do you know what's Gaussian elimination ?

OpenStudy (tiffanymak1996):

if you don't this should help: http://mathworld.wolfram.com/GaussianElimination.html

i do know what it is. I think the answer is C and I just want to verify if it is correct

OpenStudy (tiffanymak1996):

you can substitute the answers back into the equations to see if you get the correct answer.

OpenStudy (tiffanymak1996):

actually, c is the correct answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think there is no solution
