find an equation of variation where y varies directly as x and y=28 when x=7,

hmm...
Well the first part says "y varies directly as x"
This means: \[y = kx\] Where "k" is some constant number
To find k, plug 28 in for y and 7 in for x, then solve for k.
my answer is coming up as 4 and that is not right.

k = 4 is right...now substitute this 4 into the k of y = kx what do you get?
