As a project for a psychology course, a student correlated weight and intelligence scores for 250 students. The computed correlation coefficient was .00. What did the scatter plot look like? a line with a positive slope a random distribution of points a line with a negative slope a straight line from the lower left to the upper right-hand corner

yea i have no idea on this one sorry

its ok thanks anyways

A random distribution of points. The correlation coefficient will be close to one when it is closer to being a straight line.

this is mainly a statistics question reguarding the correlation coefficient.... so you could have asked this in the math section.... a correlatation coefficient close to 1 or -1 means there is a linear relationship betweeen x and y... if it is closer to 0, then there is no linear relationship between x, y (but that does not mean there is no relationship)....
