1. DNA structure Phosphate and a deoxyribose sugar backbone with a nitrogenous base (ATGC) these ATGCs are bound to their corresponding pair (A with T, G with C) which are bound to the other strand of DNA which is the phosphate and deoxyribose sugar backbone. 2. I don't know how in depth you want so generally, DNA opens, a protein copies one strand then the other. Look on youtube for DNA replication, if you want to wow your professor learn about "the trombone model". 3. RNA and DNA are identical save that DNA has an no oxygen on its second carbon in its ribose sugar while RNA does. (this does a LOT in terms of stability). DNA is also most always double stranded and RNA is most always single stranded. 4. Transcription, and translation, are really long and difficult to describe, I will give general details, I suggest you specify the detail/class you are in, or just look on youtube for a movie, their are AMAZING movies on this process. Transcription, DNA is converted into mRNA by RNA Pol III. Translation, mRNA is converted into protein by the ribosome. ALL of these answers can be visualized on youtube and I HIGHLY recommend you look there as reading what anyone types on here will be the same as reading your book. If you look on youtube you can SEE what is happening.
