the 2 in front of x tells you how it increases, the x^2 tells you the shape, and the 1 indicates the height of the curve on the y-axis. so some of the coordinates are (1,2) (2,4) (3,6) and so on

you take the x like 1 and times it by 2 which is infront of x to get your y value
