how much energgy does a 50-wattlight bulb ues compared to a 100 watt light if both are shiningfor the same length of time? explain your answer please ? =)

OpenStudy (shane_b):

If they are both lit for the same amount of time, the 100W bulb will use twice the energy. \[Watts=\frac{Joules}{second}\]\[50W=\frac{50J}{s}\]\[100W=\frac{100J}{s}\] As you can see, the wattage is directly proportional to the energy consumed by the bulb (per second).
