stats question number 2 :p (sorry) question is inside
i think its A because the 7500 is a subset of the population/ data that they're interested in. just want to make sure im not over thinking this.
well only 750 were surveyed ..and they got to know about the conditions.....so it's only 750 who'll show interest...i think so
uhh this is why I wasn't sure, they randomly sampled 7,500 of the population, but only 750 answered in favor. the population would be the A, but since they are asking population of INTEREST.. you are right. lol I am indecisive. ;l
:)
I still think the population of interest is all employees in that region because it was the company is interested on learning about. so I am doubting your response a bit. But I'm not sure if I am looking about this the wrong way,
it is what the company is interested* lol sorry
i think its A as well
B is compelling tho :)
well only 750 were there who said yes ..in that case...i mean company provided this offer to all 7500 but only 750 were there who agreed with this...so it's 750 who are interested too ..because they are willing to live further....besides them who didn't say anything may leave
I believe B would be the variable of interest, not the population.
i think they are interested in the employees opinions, and the sample is culled from the population
this is perplexing me :(
exactly, so the 750 people who answered yes would be the variable of interest instead of the population because they answered favorably to the survey question.
Ahh this is only the beginning of statistics too. :o It's not that bad you just have to pay very close attention to the wording.
actually now im not sure, would the variable of interest be the 750 who said yes or the 7500 who were surveyed... O.o
well it was asked to 7500...but only 750 said yes...so i guess remaining of 6750 ain't that interested ...though they got to know the conditions...so i will stick to B :)
