find domain of y= ((x-6)^(1/3)-6)/sqr root(x^2-x-30)

Here, everything would be alright, except that you cannot take the square root of a negative number and get a real answer. So the domain is everything that does not make what's under the square root negative.

No problem, just setup an inequality (x^2 - x - 30) factors nicely and you should have your root.
