A regular hexagon and a regular octagon share a side, as shown in the image below. What is the measure of x, the angle between a side of the hexagon and a side of the octagon?

255 each angle in a hexagon is 60 degrees each angle in an octagon is 45 degrees 1 octagon angle + 1 hexagon angle + unknown angle = 360 degrees

angle in hexagon = 120 degrees .. .... octagon = 135 degrees
this is the sum of the exterior angles... exterior angle of an octagon + exterior angle of a hexagon
