Which factor do you cancel from the numerator and denominator to simplify ...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ x ^{2}+4x-5 }{ x ^{2}-25 }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

anwsers: x+5 x-4 x-5 x+4

OpenStudy (gabylovesyou):

x + 5 because: x^2 + 4x - 5 ------------ x^2 - 25 (x-1)(x+5) ------------ (x+5)(x-5) x-1 ----- x-5 So you can cancel "x+5"
