A journalist can technically be science in the the field of sociology 
The woman and packaging...no way
A farmer for sure uses science 
And a drug manufacturer as well.
So I guess the only questionable one is the issue of the journalist and the report on a sociological topic....that would then end in your teacher's opinion that sociology is truly a science.
