    It is a membrane bound structure and it contains the genetic material ie., the dna...nucleus is surrounded by nuclear envelope that separates the nuclear content from cytoplasm.nuclear pores are present on the envelope.the pores contain proteins that act as gate keepers and allows  certain molecules to move in and  out.
cell membrane:
  cell membrane or plasma membrane is  a thin semi permeable membrane that  surrounds the cytoplasm of the cell..it has phospholipid bilayer with  embedded proteins.
