How does the cell know to make all of the proteins, lipids, carbohydrates and their derivatives that it contains?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's written in its DNA....any biosynthesis(synthesized by the cell itself) of protein, lipid, carbohydrate and their derivatives require enzymes, which is,basically a protein. It's a complex genetic control. Say, I have to synthesize a compound. This "need" is signalled to the DNA. DNA then transcribe mRNA,which is then translated into protein. This protein is the the enzyme that will take part in synthesizing that compound. In fine, What ever cell's gonna do,it is somehow controlled by DNA expression.
