2(1-3x) - (x=5) > 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think it is simplified to -3-7x >1 but idk what to do next

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2(1-3x)-(x=5) = -5x i think

OpenStudy (anonymous):

where did you get -5x from and do you know how to find the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok you do whats in parenthese first which is (1-3x) so one minus 3 is two and keep x so thats -2x beacuse a negative times a positive is always a negative so now you times two by negative two x and that is negative 4x ok so now you have -4x when ( x=5) so now you say its -45 times four by five you get negative twenty and if you simplify you get -5 so x equals -5
