Tawny found $1.95 in quarters and dimes in the cushions of her couch. There were four times as many dimes as there were quarters. How many dimes and quarters did she find?

OpenStudy (shane_b):

Let x be the number of quarters and y be the number of dimes: \[.25x+.10y=1.95\] \[y=4x\] Now just solve the system of equations. I'd use the substitution method for this one since it's pretty simple.
