what are quarks ?

OpenStudy (ghazi):

if there is something which is even more fundamental then proton and neutron ...it is quark...it is considered as most fundamental and elementary particle of matter....it carries fractional charge....the only particle that violates quantisation of charge...quantisation is just valid for electrons ...for protons too..but here it is violated...

OpenStudy (ujjwal):

In simple terms they are building blocks of electrons, protons and neutrons!

OpenStudy (ghazi):

@ujjwal excluding electrons...electrons itself are the most fundamental
