\color has two arguments. The color, and the text you want colored. So you need to put the text in a pair of brackets as well. `\color{teal}{Hi!}`\[\color{teal}{Hi!}\]

OpenStudy (kinggeorge):

For reference, latex thought you meant the following. `\color{teal}{H}i!`\[\color{teal}{H}i!\] Just make sure to put curly brackets around everything you want colored.

\(\huge\color{teal}{THANK\ YOU!}\)
