On a school map, the points (-7,-2), (-7,4), (-1,-2), and (-1,4) represent the four corners of a sand park. What are the coordinates of the center of the sand park? A (-4, 1) B (-4, 3) C (-3, 1) D (-3, -3)
To find the center point, follow these steps 1. Get some graph paper. (If you don't have any, go find or buy some....no substitutes) 2. Plot the points on the graph 3. Draw lines connecting the the adjacent dots to create a figure. 4. Using a ruler, draw a line connecting the opposite corners of the figure to create diagonals. 5. The intersection of the diagonals is the center point.
6. Let me know what the centerpoint is when you find it.
Oh wow I didnt think of doing that...thanks! :) and I will....
When someone gives me some points, the first thing I think to do is graph them. That's the same way you should think too.
A. (-4, 1) ....once again thanks for the help. :)
Let me check to make sure you got that correct. Hang on.
Great job.
You're the first person I explained the steps to who actually got it correct.
lol cool. :) thanks.
