-16 from both sides to get n by itself. in these types of problems you always want to get the variable by itself.
what about -104=8x?
again, to get x by itself just do the opposite of the function that is currently being done to eliminate 8 from one side. in this case, 8 is being multipled, so you divide by it on both sides to get x alone.
so it would be -832? did i do that right?
no, divide -104/8 to get x
