Two cars are traveling on a desert road, as shown below. After 5.0 s, they are side by side at the next telephone pole. The distance between the poles is 85.5 m. (a) the displacement of car A after 5.0 s m (b) the displacement of car B after 5.0 s m (c) the average velocity of car A during 5.0 s m/s (d) the average velocity of car B during 5.0 s m/s http://www.webassign.net/holtphys/p2-09.gif
car A travels 85.5m in 5 seconds car B travels 171m in 5 seconds right?
let me check with the board of trustees
yep your right now the velocity
do you know where i got those distances?
no not really but what do thoes numbers in the green boxes me an and the velocity was b(34.2 and a(17.1
the numbers in the green boxes mean the time car A travelled one telephone pole length car B travelled two telephone pole lengths what is a telephone pole length?
85.5 meters but the numbers in the green boxes what are they for
its only refering to the frames in the first frame it was 6:31:00 in the 2nd frame it was 6:31:05 its so people dont get confused and assume that the 2 cars started at different times
distance travelled over time is equal to average velocity
i get it by the time the blue car got to the pole the red car sped up enough to be at the pole the same time
your great help can i put another question up as a reply for you to help me on
