In coming to a stop, a car leaves skid marks 85m long on the highway. Assuming a deceleration of 3.0m/s/s , estimate the speed of the car just before braking.

Use the formula: \[v^2 - u^2 = 2as\]v = final velocity, that is 0ms^2 (since the car stops) u= initial velocity (the speed before that car starts decelerating) a = deceleration s = stopping distance
