A man invested 1/2 of his money at 8%, 1/3 at 7%, and the balance at 6%. If the return on his investment is $660, how much money has he invested at each rate? Let x = total number of dollars invested. 1/2x = number of dollars at 8%. 1/3x = number of dollars at 7%

Hello so 0.5x(1+0.08) + 1/3 x (1 +0.07) + 1/6 x (1+0.06) = 660
start simplifying and open all the parentheses, then gather the similar terms , then you will have a simple equation to solve
