Which of the following points lie in the solution set to the following system of inequalities? y > -3x + 3 y > x + 2 (2, -5) (-2, 5) (2, 5) (-2, -5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you mean ? o.o

OpenStudy (hba):

@TheViper Please Be good

OpenStudy (hba):

What do u mean by no one ? :)

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

y> -3x + 3 y > x +2 subtraact the two equations 0 > - 4x + 1 add 4x to both sides 4x > 1 divide both sides by 4 x > 1/4 now substitute 1/4 into y > x + 2 => y > 1/4 + 2 y = 1/4 + 8/4 y > 9/4 y > 2 1/4 so your ordered pair should be x > 1/4 and y > 2 1/4 does that help?

OpenStudy (theviper):

third one

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

hint: look at the ordered pairs. Which one has an x coordiante bigger than 1/4 and y coordinate bigger than 2 1/4?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i am looking for an answer that has ( , ) not equation form

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

yes i know

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

read what i just said. x coordinate is BIGGER than 1/4 and y coordinate is BIGGER than 2 1/4

OpenStudy (theviper):

yes third one is the answer :) follow the steps said by @lgbasallote & get ur answer :)

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

choose the ordered pair that satisfies that

OpenStudy (hba):

@TheViper Please dont give the answer directly
