why is the balloon filled with helium goes at the certain height and comes at balanced condition?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

by balanced condition do you mean the air inside is the same as the air outside?

OpenStudy (ghazi):

as you rise up in the air density of air decreases and as soon as it becomes equal to the density of helium inside balloon helium stops at that point....balloon rises because of less density of it as compared to air

OpenStudy (ghazi):

i mean balloon stops rising as soon as helium's density becomes equal to that of air

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

usually..the ballon doesnt stop...it pops due to too much pressure...

OpenStudy (ghazi):

@Kritika123 did you get this?

OpenStudy (callisto):

@Kritika123 It's better to post your question in the right group - physics group. Thanks! Link to physics group: http://openstudy.com/study#/groups/Physics

Ok thanks

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

i think it's more of chemistry @Callisto ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let it be in any subject i got the ans it is more important.
