what makes a triangle a "speacial" right triangle? how can speacial right triangles help me find side lengths?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

by using 45,45, 90 rule if the right triangle is 90 degrees then the other two angles are 45 degrees

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well known special triangles are : 3-4-5 and 5-12-13.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this can help you find side lengths longest side is opposite greatest angle which is 90 degrees

OpenStudy (anonymous):

did you get your answer if you did im glad i can help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, thank you

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

A special right triangle is special cuz we only need to know one of the side lengths to find the other two. Also we don’t have to use Pythagorean theorem or the soh-cah-toa to find the unknown side lengths. There are two kinds of special right triangles, as you may knew already (45-45-90 & 30-6-90)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

(45-45-90 & 30-60-90) *

no problem glad i can help
