What is the solution set of |x + 3| – 2 = –5?

I believe there is no real solution to this equation because the absolute value of x+3 must be positive but the right side of the equation is negative (-5+2=-3). Therefore, the left side of the equation must be positive for any x value but the right side will always be negative.
