so look at what u've got......the HYPOTENUSE and the angle. Ur after the line OPPOSITE the angle so ur wanting to use sin theta= opp/hyp again.
so 1100 over sin30 meters?
its a bit different this time sin theta = OPP / HYP then put in what we know ( we know the length of the hypotenuse and the angle theta) so.............. sin 30 = OPP / 1100 Now rearrange to get OPP

close but no cigar if sin30 = OPP / 1100 then multiply both sides by 1100 to get : 1100 x sin30 = OPP
