Is that a 1 on an I?

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

you can work out value of x using pythagoras theorem

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

oh - sorry - my bad writing - its the square root of 7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

haha its all good

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

x = sqrt(7^2 - 7) = sqrt 42 now you can find you 5 trig ratios

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So sin(a) would equal sqrt42 over 7; however, we cannot find tan(a).

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

yes we can tan a = opposite / adjacent = sqrt42 / sqrt 7 = sqrt6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh! okay. thank you so much.
