what is 24 less than a three times a numbefr

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im not sure how to explain but it is\[3x-24\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Let x be the number. 24 minus 3 times a number. What do you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Kind of hard to explain but lets just say x is the variable 3 x - 24

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if x is your number....3 times that number is 3x and since you need 24 less, it becomes 3x-24
