1. should be grades <--plural because the students don't share a "grade" 2. In order to do this, <--there should be a comma because it's like a pause 3. There should be no comma before and <--you only put comma before conjunctions IF you're linking TWO INDEPENDENT CLAUSES 4. Again, it's not complete and cut off

1. Write out the number forty-nine. The word "grade" is correct as-is. No need to make it plural. 2. (I added 2 commas, and I changed 'analysis' to 'analyze.') I would like to gain more knowledge on the number of children who are experiencing depression. In order to do this, I would pass out 40 surveys to high school students. After receiving the results from the surveys, I would then analyze the surveys and attempt to understand the extent of the problem. 3. This sentence is correct as-is. You can absolutely put a comma before the last item in a list. 4. Not a complete statement.
