you need to eliminate one of the varables. 2x+y=9 the way to do that is to 3x+4y=26 change one so when you add them it = 0 -4(2x+y=9) notice if I mult the top one by -4 -8x - 4y = -36 it will change to this 3x+ 4y = 26 now add them straigt down _____________
