Find the x- and y-intercepts of the line y = 20x. x-intercept: (0, 0); y-intercept: (0, 0) is the answer above correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For finding x intercept we always put y = 0.. And for finding y intercept we put x = 0.. So for x intercept, put y = 0 and find x.. Can you do that ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope but the former tuttor told me that equation above is correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh sorry I did not see your answer.. Yes your answer is correct..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

For x intercept put y - 0 in y = 20x So you will get : 0 = 20x Divide by 20 both the sides: x = 0 So x intercept is : (0,0) Similarly put x = 0 for finding y intercept: y = 20x y = 20(0) y = 0 So y intercept is : (0,0)..
