Thrifty Supply Store normally sells candy bars for $0.59. Today they are running a special 2 candy bars for $0.99. How much would you save if you bought 10 candy bars at the sale price rather than at the regular price?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First, find out how much 10 candy bars costs at regular price.\[$0.59 \times 10 = $5.90\] Then, find out how much the discount is, (remember, it's 2 for $0.99 so we multiply $0.99 by 5)\[$0.99 \times 5 = $4.95\] Then, subtract\[$5.90 - $4.95 = $1.05\] So you're saving $1.05 Hope this helps(:
