1st pair of points can have the same y value.... e.g. A(1, 5) and B(9, 5) this is a horizontal line with a midpoint M(5, 5) each segment AM and MB has a length of 4 units. now create a vertical line that have x values for each point P(5, r) and Q(5, s) this way the lines AB and PQ will intersect at M...
