I am looking for the formula to this problem is it base rate formula? A May 20, 2009, Noodles & Company press release mentions there are more than 205 locations in 18 states. If they expect to grow by 17% in 2009, what is the expected numbers of restaurants they plan to open?

Hint: what is 17% of 205? You really don't need a formula here
117%/205?
Remember, 17% of 205 is .17*205
My teacher said I was to use the portion-base-rate formula on this problem. I am totally confused
