One gallon of paint (volume = 3.78 10-3 m3) covers an area of 42.0 m2. What is the thickness of the paint on the wall?

OpenStudy (shane_b):

\[V=L*W*H=AH\] \[V=3.78x10^{-3}m^3\]\[A=42.0m^2\]If you used all the paint then the thickness of the paint would be the missing dimension:\[V=3.78x10^{-3}=(42.0m^2)(H)\]Now just solve for H which will be the paint's thickness.
